Put your brand on the portal

Upload a company logo, a dark-background logo, a favicon, and a brand accent color on Settings > Company > Branding, then confirm where each one actually shows up: the sidebar, the sign-in page, and the browser tab.

You need An account that can edit Settings (the admin.settings permission). · A logo file and a favicon file, each under 2 MB and an image type (PNG, JPG, or SVG).

What you will have

  • Upload a Company Logo, an optional Logo for Dark Backgrounds, a Favicon, and a Brand Accent Color, then save.
  • Know exactly which screen each asset controls, and which ones share a fallback when left blank.
  • See what the sign-in page shows before a logo is on file, and what it shows once one is - the same fallback either way, real either way.

Why it works this way

Two logo slots exist because one ground needs a light-legible mark and the other needs a dark-legible one. Company Logo is read everywhere with a light or white background. Logo for Dark Backgrounds is only read on the dark sidebar and the sign-in page's dark left panel; leave it blank and those two surfaces fall back to the Company Logo instead, which can go illegible if that logo was built for a light ground.

Every upload is trimmed of its own padding the moment it's saved, so a logo exported with baked-in whitespace still renders edge-to-edge in a fixed-height slot the same as everyone else's.

Every client-facing surface, the client's own portal, their tickets, their invoices, is built to carry only your brand. A client never sees the ezCyber name or mark anywhere in their own experience.

Company Logo and Brand Accent Color work together outside the portal too: email headers carry the Company Logo, and invoice and quote PDFs carry both, the logo at the top and the accent color on headers, totals, and dividers.

Steps

  1. Look at the sign-in page before uploading anything.

This trial is already branded, so the sign-in page's dark left panel shows the logo currently on file instead of plain text. The rule behind that panel is general, not specific to this tenant: the sign-in page shows your logo, or your company name in words until you upload one - that's the built-in fallback every unbranded ezCyber instance shows, not a broken image.

Look at the sign-in page before uploading anything.
  2. Open Settings > Company > Branding.

The page holds exactly four fields: Company Logo, Logo for Dark Backgrounds, Favicon, and Brand Accent Color. A "Branding & notifications" card sits at the top of the page itself, offering a guided version of the same fields as a Setup Wizard; "Not now" dismisses it without leaving the page.

Open Settings > Company > Branding.
  3. Click Replace on Company Logo and choose your logo.

Recommended shape: horizontal, transparent PNG, JPG, or SVG, roughly 4:1 wide, at least 96px tall. This is the light-background logo - it's what renders in email headers, on invoice and quote PDFs, and on the sign-in page's light card. The button reads Replace rather than Upload file whenever a logo is already on file, which it is on this trial; either way the file uploads immediately and its preview appears in the field, but nothing reaches the rest of the portal until Save is clicked at the end.

Click Replace on Company Logo and choose your logo.
  4. Click Replace on Logo for Dark Backgrounds and choose a dark-ground version, if you have one.

This slot is optional and only matters on two surfaces: the dark sidebar and the sign-in page's dark left panel. Leave it blank and both keep using the Company Logo instead. Upload a version built for a dark ground - light text, or a mark that already carries its own dark card - and it replaces the main logo on those two surfaces only; every light-background surface keeps using the Company Logo regardless.

Note: If your Company Logo has a baked-in white or light background, leaving this slot blank shows that background as a visible box on the dark sidebar. Upload a light-on-dark version here instead.
Click Replace on Logo for Dark Backgrounds and choose a dark-ground version, if you have one.
  5. Replace the Favicon, confirm the Brand Accent Color, then click Save.

Favicon is the browser tab icon and can be a completely different mark from the logo; it's also what becomes the agent's tray and desktop icon on managed devices, auto-downscaled to fit those rather than rejected for being too large. Brand Accent Color defaults to #208FAC - typing a hex value or picking the swatch sets the color used for headers, totals, and dividers on invoice and quote PDFs; this trial already carries that default, unchanged. Save writes all four fields at once; none of the uploads from the earlier steps are kept until this click.

Replace the Favicon, confirm the Brand Accent Color, then click Save.
  6. See the Company Logo land on the sidebar.

The sidebar's brand card at the top-left now shows the uploaded logo instead of an empty slot. The same upload feeds the collapsed (icon-only) rail and the expanded sidebar alike.

See the Company Logo land on the sidebar.
  7. Sign out and see the Logo for Dark Backgrounds on the sign-in page.

Sign out, then load the sign-in page again: the left panel now shows the dark-ground logo directly against the dark background, with no card behind it. The light card from step 1 only ever existed to keep the company name in words readable on a dark ground - once a real dark-ground logo is set, the card is gone and the logo sits directly on the panel. Sign back in with a fresh link to keep going.

Sign out and see the Logo for Dark Backgrounds on the sign-in page.
  8. See the Favicon in the browser tab.

The favicon set in step 5 now renders as the browser tab icon next to the portal's name (mocked here as a browser tab bar, since a screenshot can't capture real browser chrome). The same file is also what an enrolled device shows as its tray icon and desktop shortcut, downscaled automatically to fit those.

See the Favicon in the browser tab.

Other ways to do this

Setup Wizards > Company > Branding & notifications

A 7-step guided wizard covering the same four fields plus which billing emails send automatically. Open it from Settings > System > Setup Wizards, or from the "Branding & notifications" card embedded at the top of the Branding settings page itself.

When you'd rather be walked through logo, color, and the related notification settings together instead of filling in the plain settings page.

Dashboard "Get set up" checklist > Set up your business

This checklist step carries an optional sub-check that ticks itself off the moment a Company Logo is uploaded. It never blocks the parent step and doesn't require the other three branding fields.

As a reminder that branding is still open, without navigating to Settings directly.

Elise

Ask Elise, in chat, to open the Branding settings page or explain what one of its fields does.

It can navigate you there and answer questions about the fields, but it cannot upload a file or set a color for you - that still happens on the page itself.

If it did not work

  • If you were expecting the four-step first-time setup wizard (Company info, Modules, Identity providers, Elise's voice) to include a branding step: it doesn't. Branding is deliberately left out of that wizard and only lives on the Branding settings page (or its own Setup Wizard).
  • If Upload file does nothing or shows an error, check the file: uploads are capped at 2 MB and must be an image type (PNG, JPG, SVG, and similar). A file over that size or the wrong type is refused before it reaches storage.
  • If a logo looks tiny or oddly placed once uploaded, that's usually the source file: transparent padding baked into the export is trimmed automatically, so a logo already filling its own canvas edge-to-edge sits most consistently in the fixed-height slot.
  • If your logo goes illegible or disappears on the sign-in page or the dark sidebar, that's the wrong slot, not a bug: upload it as the Logo for Dark Backgrounds instead of re-exporting the Company Logo.
  • If a client sees a different brand anywhere on their own portal or ticket pages, that's a bug to report, not a setting to change: every client-facing surface is built to carry only your brand.

Questions this page answers

Where do the logo and favicon appear?

Company Logo shows in email headers, on invoice and quote PDFs, and on the client sign-in screen. Those are white or light backgrounds. Logo for Dark Backgrounds is optional. Upload one only if your main logo is hard to see on a dark background. It shows on the dark sidebar. It also replaces your main logo on the sign-in page's dark left panel. Leave it blank and both places use your main logo instead. Favicon shows in the browser tab. It can differ from the logo. It is also used as the agent's tray and desktop icon. All three fall back to defaults when blank. All three update right away when you save - no redeploy needed.

What is the Company section for?

Settings → Company → Company Profile stores your MSP's core identity: company name, product name, contact phone, currency, and default timezone. The phone prints on invoice and quote PDFs. Your logo, favicon, and brand accent color live on the Branding page, and the support address now derives from your connected Help Desk mailbox rather than a typed setting.

What does Assistant Name change?

Every place the AI speaks - chat widget, generated ticket replies, briefing emails, agenda intros - uses this name in the {{ai_name}} template variable. Default "Elise". White-label MSPs swap to their preferred brand name (some use a tech alias, others use a department name). Change takes effect on the next AI invocation; no rebuild.

What can I customize on Navigation?

You can edit each item's label, description, icon, node type (item or divider), and the Visible toggle, the fields that exist for white-label customization. Other attributes (route, link mode, visibility conditions, dynamic source, component) are seed-driven and not editable here. To reorder, drag items within the same parent using the grip handle and it saves instantly; the old sort-order number input was replaced by drag.
